Nocciole d'Elite is a family hazelnut farm in Cravanzana, in the Alta Langa near Alba, Piedmont. For more than fifty years the Canaparo family has cultivated about 25 hectares of Tonda Gentile delle Langhe hazelnuts, certified as Nocciola Piemonte IGP. The farm shells and processes its own crop into raw and roasted kernels, pastes, granella and flour for gelato and pastry makers, specialty shops and its on-site showroom. Because the same family grows, shells and processes every hazelnut, gelaterie receive IGP-certified Piedmont hazelnut paste with the toasted aroma the flavour depends on, traceable to a single farm.
