Nama MandorleSicilian almonds, pistachios and nut creams for gelato and pastry
Nama Mandorle (Na.Ma) grows and processes almonds and other nuts for gelaterie, pastry labs and specialist retailers. The Sicilian family company is based in Avola, in the province of Syracuse, home of the prized Avola almond. The Tiralongo family has worked with almonds since the early 1900s, and today Giuseppe Tiralongo and his children manage cultivation, selection and processing. Nama farms its own orchards and works with local growers, focusing on the Avola, Fascionello and Corrente Siciliana varieties. The range also includes pistachios, pine nuts and sugar-free nut creams. Control of the chain from orchard to finished product gives gelato makers traceable Sicilian almond ingredients.
