Babbi is a family company that has made ingredients and wafers for gelato makers since 1952, when Attilio Babbi started producing cones in Cesena. Ingredients for artisan gelato followed in 1955, and the Viennesi and Waferini wafer specialities in 1958. Now run by the fourth generation, Babbi has operated in Bertinoro since 1991, with 20,000 m² of covered space on a 40,000 m² site. The professional range covers gelato bases, pastes and mixes, pistachio products made since 1999, and cones, pressed and rolled wafers and decorations. The Attilio Babbi Academy trains gelato and pastry makers. Babbi sells in more than 70 countries and has subsidiaries in Barcelona (2006), Augsburg (2019) and Dubai (2025).
