Elenka has made semi-finished products for gelato makers and pastry chefs since 1959, with headquarters, production and main warehouse in Palermo and a branch office in Arluno, near Milan. Founded by Antonino Galvagno, it created the Zuppa Inglese gelato flavour and Dariloy, one of the first balanced gelato bases, later adding La Nocciola hazelnut paste and Pistacchio OroVerde®. The gelato range covers cream and fruit bases, complete bases, cremini, semifreddi, flavour pastes including Sicilian specialities, variegates, crunchy grains, coatings, toppings and a vegan line, while pastry chefs get soaking syrups, aromatic pastes and fillings. An export office and an international sales network serve gelaterie and pastry shops worldwide.
