NoccioleNatura is a family farm in Castino, in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, that grows Tonda Gentile hazelnuts and turns them into finished products. The business has been handed down over three generations and is now run by Massimo Ferrino and his wife Nicoletta. Its entire harvest is certified Nocciola Piemonte PGI. Pruning is largely done by hand, fertilising is mostly organic, and the nuts are dried naturally in the farmyard before sizing, shelling, sorting and roasting on site. The range includes roasted hazelnuts, chopped hazelnuts, hazelnut flour, pure hazelnut paste, a spreadable cream made from hazelnuts, cocoa and sugar, and hazelnut oil. Most products come in sizes up to 5 kg. Farm tours with tastings can be booked.
