Floreal is an Italian maker of edible decorations for the confectionery trade, founded in Milan in 1961 and now based in Assago, just south of the city. Its main products are sugar decorations such as royal icing flowers and meringues, gum paste flowers and ornaments, wafer paper flowers, chocolate decorations and sugar paste plaques. The range is completed by cake ribbons, candles and figurines for celebrations. Customers are pastry shops, gelato parlours, specialist retailers and supermarket chains, and the products are exported to many European and international markets. Production is checked at every stage, and a new catalogue is released each year, including a dedicated Christmas collection. The company can also produce personalised decorations to order.
