Taylor Company traces its roots to 1926, when ice cream shop owner Charles Taylor invented the first automatic batch ice cream freezer. From that single machine the company grew into a full range of soft serve and frozen yogurt freezers, custard and batch freezers, shake, smoothie, slush and frozen cocktail machines, plus commercial grills. Its custard and batch freezers produce ice cream, frozen custard, gelato, sorbet and sherbet, while models such as the C716 add multi-flavour soft serve with heat treatment. Based in Rockton, Illinois, Taylor has been part of the Middleby group since 2018 and reaches operators through more than 160 distributors in 125 countries, who handle installation, training, service and genuine parts.
